Instructors

Dan Millar

Mr. Millar has over 30 years of experience in the benefits/Insurance industry. He is a Consultant and Principal of the firm Benefit Partners who is a division of People Corporation. Dan has extensive skills and experience in the areas of benefit plan design underwriting and ongoing benefit plan management. In addition, he is an expert in collective purchasing of employee benefits and is responsible for the design/underwriting of some of the firm’s largest employer and association type benefit platforms.

Dr. Crystal Draper, DC

CCA Senior Manager of Professional Practice

Dr. Crystal Draper is the Senior Manager of Professional Practice at the Canadian Chiropractic Association (CCA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree in Human Kinetics and Developmental Psychology from the University of Guelph and is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC). In addition to her work at the CCA, she practices downtown Toronto at a family-based interdisciplinary clinic, focusing on pregnancy and postpartum care. Before joining the CCA, Dr. Draper was a faculty member and course coordinator for Clinical Diagnosis and Female Care and taught within the Chiropractic Techniques and Chiropractic Principles departments at CMCC. She has a number of peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented research at various conferences.

Dr. Ayla Azad, DC, MBA

CCA CEO

Dr. Azad graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic (USA) and completed her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Athabasca University. Dr. Azad was in private practice at Total Rehab, a multi-disciplinary rehab clinic in Ajax, Ontario from 1999 to 2020. During that time, she was also teaching at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in the Chiropractic Therapeutics, Principles and Practice and Clinical Education Departments. Dr. Azad has served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, serving as President and Chair of the Board from 2015 to 2017, and has served on the Board for the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation and the World Federation of Chiropractic. Dr. Azad began working at the Canadian Chiropractic Association, in 2020 and is currently the Chief Executive Officer.
