Description & Learning Objectives

Most clinical guidelines advise exercise and physical rehabilitation for the management of chronic pain. No ideal form of rehabilitation and exercise exists. This creates an opportunity for creative prescription of rehabilitation, based on the values and goals of your patient. This one-hour session will be a case‐based discussion on coaching your chronic pain patients back to the activities they enjoy.

  • Discuss some of the barriers for returning to value‐based activities.
  • Discuss and explore patient‐valued goal setting.
  • Discuss and explore how to inspire confidence in your patients as they return to valued activity, even while pain persists.
